The Mid-Atlantic Venture Association, the Virginia Biotechnology Association, and the Tech Council of Maryland/MdBio co-hosted 2008 Mid-Atlantic Bio, their signature annual bioscience industry conference, October 22-24, 2008. Over the last four years, Mid-Atlantic Bio has gained recognition as a substantive, regionally-hosted forum that attracts national and international industry leaders.
Conference attendees heard from biotech industry leaders about innovations and advances in life sciences. Investors had an opportunity to learn in depth about the initiatives of individual bioscience companies and research organizations, while exhibitors showcased their capabilities and offerings to industry stakeholders.
2008 Mid Atlantic Bio attracted more than 850 attendees from 30 states and 10 countries, including life science organizations, venture and investment firms, academic and research institutions, and government agencies. With preeminent speakers from the life sciences community, record attendance, a sold-out conference hotel, and top-tier programming, Mid-Atlantic Bio has experienced continuous growth since its inception in 2005.
